DISTANCE - BONDI BEACH SERIES
The defining series which drew me into the arts.. a process of testing and manipulating the camera lens to lose focus, getting the right timing and perspective around each shot, finding that passion in the process, I found I could connect with the elements of the landscape developing a different connection with the world through the lens. The series also opened up a new interpretation of the arts for me, going to museums and seeing the work in a different light by viewing pieces in and out of focus like an artist would while they were creating their work.. Insisting it's quite telling what can be found on the canvas, seeing the skill and motivation behind some of the artists, finding things that may have never been discovered before and questioning the intent or design of the piece..
